Where to adopt a pet in Dubai - List of all rescue organizations in the city

There are many different animal organizations in Dubai, please remember that all of them are non profit and run privately run by amazing volunteers in their free time. This means you may not get an answer straight away. Many of the organizations are also looking for foster homes, so if you are able to open your home to a dog or cat in need, make sure to get in contact with them.




38 Smiles 38 Smiles is primarily a cat and stray cat rescue located in Dubai. They hold adoption days on Saturdays from 2-5pm at the Garden concept. Their adoption days are announced on their social media. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/38smiles/ Website: Currently not available

Petooti Petooti is a small group of passionate animal welfare advocates empowering each other to make a difference primarily for cats. Starting with Trap, Neuter, Release and rehoming responsibly.



Bubbles Pet Rescue Bubbles Pet Rescue was founded in 2014, and rescues both cats and dogs. They have many small breeds available too. You can even put your name on their wish list for a specific breed, or age.



Furrballs Animals Welfare Organization - Dogs Furrballs founded by Sarah, who also owns the Pet doctor veterinary clinic in Sharjah is an organization that has individual pages for dogs and cats. Furrballs rescues many, many dogs, and often gets purebreeds up for adoption. All of their dogs are posted on their social media with a description of their breed, age, and temperament. They also hold regular adoption days in Dubai and Sharjah.


Furrballs Animal Welfare Organization - Cats Furrballs cats has many different pure breed and Arabian maus up for adoption. They also have an adoption form in German, so you can adopt if you live there too. Just note that flying snoobed nosed cats isn't possible all year round due to the heat and high humidity. Green Paws Green Paws was founded by Jasmeen who has beeen rescuing for over a decade in Dubai. The organizaton has both cats and dogs up for adoption. They have all of their pets up for adoption listed on the website. Website: https://www.greenpawsuae.com



Helping Hands for Small Paws Helping Hands for Small Paws started out as a facebook group for smaller animals from turtles to birds. If you are searching for a certain pet you can post on their facebook group. HHfSP also have regular adoption days at the Pet Shop in DIP, you can find the announcements on instagram.



K9 Friends K9 Friends is the first and only shelter in Dubai sponsored by Petsdelight. The shelter has been rescuing dogs for the last 30 years. K9 friends come out with a yearly calendar which you can buy to support their work. They also have the option of a membership starting at 500aed per year. The shelter is open by appointment only from Monday to Saturday, from 9.00am to 1.00pm. They are closed on Sunday.  Adoption fees start at 1250aed for a mixed breed to 2950aed for a purebred puppy under 12 months. All of their available dogs are listed on the website.



Sahara Kennels Rescue Sahara Kennel is a rescue organization based in Dubai. They dedicate themselves to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs and cats worldwide. They hold regular adoption days at Petzone on Sheikh Zayed road and have many purebreed small dogs available.



Saluki Rescue Arabia Saluki Rescue Arabia rescues and rehabilitate arabian salukis in Dubai. Many of them find their homes abroad and need flight companions to make sure they reach safely.



Second Wags Second Wags is a rescue organization focused on dogs. You can find all of their dogs up for adoption in their highlight on instagram. The organizations holds regular adoption days in different locations in Dubai such as Pawlympics and, happy buddies my buddy petcare. Their adoption fee varies from 2000-4000aed.

The Woof House The Woof House is an animal organization that focuses on dogs. They are regularly looking for foster homes and volunteers. The organization also sends many of their animals to Germany, so if you are regularly traveling to Europe you may be able to volunteer as a flight companion.



A's Ark Rescue A's Ark Rescue is a new animal rescue location in Dubai with lots of cute small breeds available.
